Question Style:
The game is 4 rounds of open ended questions, and two themed puzzle rounds. A standard game takes about 90 minutes to play.
We try to ask a little bit of everything so there’s something for everyone! Trivia questions are designed to range in difficulty, resulting for a medium-level difficult for a trivia team. The game might feel on the difficult side with just one or two players.
How We Play:
Trivia is hosted on Zoom and answers are collected via Google forms. Questions are both shown on screen and read aloud. Each question remains on screen for about 25 seconds, and then a summary of each round is displayed at the end of the round.
Once you register for a game, a calendar appointment for that game will be sent to you and you will be sent a zoom link and the google form an hour before the game starts.
Playing With Teams:
We encouraging recruiting teammates from all over!
Zoom has a new feature where you can "join" your own breakout rooms. We'll create breakout rooms based on your team names on the registration form. You can pop in there at the end of each round to discuss face to face with your teammates if that is easier to communicate.
Other teams decide to communicate via text, facetime or set up a call with your teammates to discuss answers while you play the game. We highly recommend not using the Zoom chat to discuss answers.
Just one person from your team needs to submit the trivia answers via google form.
What You Need:
A team name
Internet
The ability to watch both a Zoom video and submit a Google form
If you’re on a tablet, we recommend having a teammate submit the answers on a Google form or opening the google form on separate mobile device.
Drink (optional but this is a way to not drink alone- so hey 🍺 )
Knowledge of very random things or the utmost confidence in your wrong answers.
The Night Of The Game:
You will receive an email to the email address you put on the registration form an hour before the game with the Zoom link.
The Zoom room will “open” 15 minutes before the game starts, and we'll play an optional warm up for those of you who like to log in early. The warm up is not for any points, just a bit of fun. I will explain how to play the game at 8 PM, and we'll play immediately after.
All attendees are muted upon entry, to play the warm up or ask a question unmute yourself in the bottom left corner. We ask you remain muted during the question-and-answer part of the trivia game.
